For the love of Mamas :)

I'm not sure why mothers are on my mind so much tonight, maybe because as I was exercising with Pete I was mentally scrutinizing my body's imperfections and thinking about everything I wanted to fix. I don't intend to ask why it is that as women we are so hard on ourselves, especially after we have babies, because we all know why. Now, as a proud woman and mother I accept that there are some scars that no amount of exercise will erase, and I consider the marks of motherhood to be like battle scars, something to be proud of and well worth it! It's coming to terms with the fact that I will never look seventeen again that my emotional side occasionally has a hard time accepting. Come on girls, who really wants to be seventeen again?? I sure don't. We are gorgeous! Do we need to just throw in the towel and give up on ever feeling proud of our figures again? No way! Eat healthy, stay active, think happy thoughts, BREATH, and just be the best you that you can be (yes, corny, I know, but still true). We all have days where we can barely get everyone fed much less a super organic healthy meal with a trip to the gym, and yes we all have a day now and then where we stress eat a pastry (don't lie haha) but that's ok! Just try again tomorrow. Of course I am human, and a girl, so I can't say I have perfected this emotionally healthy way of thinking, but I sure am trying. What I want is to get to the point where I strive to feel good not look perfect and my goal is to be healthy not fit into a particular size, and that is most definitely what I want to instill in Jacie. Here is hoping! Go Mamas! :)
